WELCOME TO MICKY'S TRIBUTES PAGE..READ AND ENJOY!!!

THAT FACE...THAT SMILE

The first time that I saw his face, was in 96...

The music started...I held my breath and out on the stage he ran...

I held my breath...as tears rolled down my cheeks...OH MY GOD I said...

He stood there right in front of me, and bowed his gorgeous head...

It was then I took a deep breath...it was then I blinked my eyes...

Seeing Micky standing in front of me was truly a fantastic surprise...

The minutes rolled by quickly...the laughs they came and went...

I know Peter and Davy were on that stage too...I know 'cause I saw them

there? Didn't you?

But, Micky was the only one that I watched...

My dream had come true at last...

For you see, at 17 I wanted to go and see The Monkees perform in a show...

I was told by my father that I just could not go...

I cried all that day 'cause I was so low...

But thirty years later, I'm all grown now you see...

I could go now, no one could stop me and I couldn't wait to see...

My Micky was older too, just like you and me...

But for me the clock twirled backwards...

And all that I could see...

Was a young man in his twenties...

A young girl in her teens...

And I was finally there...

I felt like I was sitting there all alone just me in my chair...

No one else mattered...

Just me and Micky that was enough...

It may have been late in coming...

It may have been a long time...

But gosh I was thrilled to be there...

To finally see his smiling face...

The wait was truly worth it...

Just to see that wonderful face!!!

TO MY GUYS ---------- Cliff Richards, Herman's Hermits and The Beatles were there, but not for me, This girl who had just entered her teens, Was finding it hard to believe, That a star would capture her heart and soul, Then the last train to Clarksville arrived, Turning me into a daydream believer, Sometime in the morning I knew, That my loyalty would only be for you, Being a star collector was not for me.

Anytime, anyplace, anywhere I would Listen to the band, dance on and share my kicks with you, Good clean fun is what you are all about, Making it nice to be with you. Never enough of you would there be, But I was true to you even when you wanted to be free.

In no time at all the years flew by, but You and I remained together, I knew that we were made for each other. I am a woman now but the girl I thought I left behind me Is here to stay and is still a believer. Back then, and now I know what I am doing hanging round. Perhaps one day I will be your sunny girlfriend, Laughing, as we go along.

You have come and you have gone. Only to return once again to bring gladness to my heart. My love for you will last a whole life through. I hope that one day you will realise, That there will always be a special place for you, Within the center of my secret heart.

MEETING A MONKEE IN MINNESOTA.... Had a surprizing encounter today in the record store of all places.. Found and bought an import of a Monkees CD and the guy that checked me out looked at the CD and first I thought..OH boy here we go..BUT turned out he liked the Monkees..I nearly fainted...he said he wished he would have gone to the concert in 96 and I said I did..we then started to talk about the guys..he said.."I met the drummer that night" I thought he meant the guy in the band..and he said Micky Dolenz I again nearly fainted..we stood and yacked at length then..I asked him more about the meeting and he was only to happy to tell me..esp after he found out I ran a fan club for Micky..his response was ..Awesome... He then continued his story..said that night after the concert he and some friends were driving down Riverfront Drive when he spotted who he thought was Micky..his friend said he was nuts..but he turned his car around and pulled up to Micky and a friend he was with.. He asked if he were indeed Micky Dolenz and Micky said "I sure am, why? How can I help you? and he said he then asked for Mickys autograph and Micky gave it to him...then Micky asked if he and his friend could get a lift over to this local bar and the guy said yes..so Micky and his friend hopped in the car and they all went to this bar..When they arrived the guy said Micky asked if he could buy him and his friends a drink.. he said he was underage but Micky said come in anyway and I'll buy you a pop then..so they all went inside and he said he and Micky played pool together for a long time that evening..I could not believe my ears...but just goes to show how nice Micky is ..NOT that we all don't know this already..but gosh imagine how cool that must have been.. I thought you would all enjoy this little story about Micky..not often you hear the good stuff....By Suzie
